Instagram in November launched the Add Your Sticker — an interactive feature that groups Stories based on a user-generated prompt. You may have seen such as “Who are you in love with?” or “Show me your favorite food,” over a picture of a significant other, celebrity, or pizza. You can interact with an existing sticker or create your own. Previously limited to Instagram Stories, the feature is now available for Reels on Instagram and Facebook, where people can navigate to a reply page and add their own media to the list. When creating a Reel, select Preview (Instagram) > Sticker > Add Your Own, then write a prompt or tap the dice icon to generate something random. Despite public backlash (Opens in a new window), Meta continues to find more ways to compete with video-first TikTok. This now includes allowing creators to automatically post Reels from Instagram to Facebook. Cut out the middleman for saving clips, opening new apps, writing additional captions, and simply toggle the “Share to Facebook” option when posting a reel. Users can also look forward to Creator Studio analytics, monetized virtual stars, support for remixing Reels, and the option to turn Stories and Memories into auto-generated videos.

The announcement comes two weeks after Meta cut Facebook Live Shopping in favor of small-format purchasable Reels. Facebook users can still host live videos, but starting Oct. 1, they won’t be able to create product playlists or tag products.
