Motorcyclist Seriously Injured By Throwing Container On Freeway 401

In a video posted on Twitter Tuesday afternoon, Sgt.  Kerry Schmidt of the OPP said the container is about four feet by four feet in size.
He said the motorcycle operator collided with the object.
The victim was rushed to the trauma center with serious injuries.

The eastbound express lanes of Highway 401 between Meadowvale and Brock roads were closed for several hours as police investigated.  All lanes reopened just after 6pm

Police are reminding truck drivers to “make sure your equipment is secure.”
