Longboarders from all over the region are coming to Kelowna this weekend for the Knox Mountain Downhill.
The event will start on Saturday at 9am and end on Sunday at 3pm
To facilitate the event, road closures and parking restrictions will be in place in the area. The lower 1.5km of Knox Mountain Drive, the base for the first lookout, will be closed to all vehicular traffic from 7am on Saturday.
Pedestrian access is allowed to enter the area to watch from designated areas and the Apex Trail will remain open when the trail is not in use by event participants or transportation vehicles. Event volunteers will be stationed on site to ensure the safe passage of pedestrians and pedestrians throughout the event area.
Parking will be limited in the first lookout area parking lot, however, the main parking lot at the base of the mountain will remain open to the public.
