President Biden first tested positive for COVID-19 on July 21, with symptoms including a cough and sore throat. He isolated himself and completed a five-day course of Paxlovid before testing negative. He then experienced a rebound infection, again testing positive. On August 6, the president’s doctor said that Biden had tested negative and it was clear that he would break his isolation. The president tested negative for COVID-19 Tuesday morning, and his tests will increase in light of the first lady’s positive test. Jill Biden will self-isolate for at least five days.
