The 19th season of The Bachelorette is the first from ABC’s hit reality show to feature two women looking for love. After a rough start, they decided to split the kids into two groups. But the drama reignited in episode 6 as Gabby tearfully sent home a promising suitor, a guy from Rachel’s team revealed a shocking secret, and another man came down with COVID-19!

Who got the date with Gabby?

The show’s European cruise arrived in Amsterdam and Gabby chose Nate for the private date. She was concerned that Nate was already a dad and noted that her hometown visits seemed to “involve more than one person.” Gabby had a difficult childhood with her mum and was ‘terrified’ at the prospect of meeting Nate’s young daughter. Although she loved the way Nate treated her, Gabby told the cameras: “I’m going back and forth on whether I want to be a mother and that’s something I haven’t figured out yet. It just seems so complicated.” Tearful Gabby, 31, thought she had more growing up to do – and amid the beautiful scenery of Amsterdam, she ended things with Nate. “I never want to say goodbye, but I think we’re in two different places in our lives. It’s not you, it’s me,” Gabi told him, crying. She admitted she was scared to be a mom, but Nate said she would be great. However, he accepted her decision that it was over, saying: “I would never be upset with you for being honest.” Nate cried as he left and his suitcase was removed from the ship in front of the rest of Team Gabby.

Who got Rachel’s one-on-one date?

The 26-year-old flight instructor chose a trailblazing Zach as he previously went on a private date in episode 3. This time, the two visited a tulip field in the Netherlands, rode bikes, bought clogs and shared a hot tub. “It gives me butterflies,” Zach said in the confessional. She was looking forward to getting a rose to move on to the city visit segment of the show. The story continues But over dinner at a museum, Zach suddenly got serious and told Rachel, “I wanted to talk to you about this… a few years ago, I was about 85 pounds more than I am now, very overweight.” Zach continued that he couldn’t find love at the time and asked himself, “How can I fix this?” The tech executive told Rachel she was undergoing treatment. This excited Rachel, who admitted she had also sought help after falling on Clayton Echard’s season of The Bachelor. “Going to therapy was my favorite part of the week,” she said, adding that she had asked herself, “How do I move forward and what do I like? I really love it so much.” She also liked that Zach had sought treatment. She agreed with Rachel, “It can work wonders!” and said, “I’m falling in love with you.” She gave Zach her date and they kissed in front of a classical music ensemble. Meanwhile, Gabby told her team back on the boat what they already knew, “Nate’s not here.” After she informed the rest of her children that she was worried about the responsibility of being a mom, they hugged her. On their group date, they visited Amsterdam’s red light district, where a woman with a whip asked them flirtatious questions. Johnny wouldn’t answer when asked if he had slept with more than 10, 20 or 30 women! The kids took their shirts off and were blindfolded so Gabby could tickle and spank them. Later, before the cocktail party, host Jesse Palmer told Gabby that the controversial Logan had “tested positive for COVID-19.” He was doing well but the cocktail party was cancelled. Jesse told the kids that something had happened with Logan — but not exactly what it was. As Parade.com readers know, Logan was part of Rachel’s team before he switched sides, deciding he was more attracted to Gabby. Logan’s illness left Gabby forced to make choices about his hometown without further discussion with the other children. The cameras switch to Rachel having a group date with the other men in her group at an Amsterdam cheese market. They took off their shirts for a cheese lifting contest, which Tino won. At the cocktail party later, Aven told Rachel that his parents would like to meet her. Tyler said he was falling for her very hard. After a makeout session with Rachel, Tino boasted to the cameras: “I hit it out of the park.” However, he left when she gave Tyler the group date rose! “I do not understand it!” Tino snapped at a producer. “This is a joke!” As the rose ceremony approached, Spencer thought that no one should go home without Logan being there. But three roses were available for Gabby while Rachel had two, meaning there would be miscarriages. Gabby revealed to everyone that she didn’t want to meet four families of men, just three.

During the ceremony, the ICU nurse presented her roses to Erich, Jason and Johnny. That meant that military man Spencer S. had to go. Gabby had three guys head over for home visits after Logan had to leave due to his COVID-19 diagnosis.
