At 6-foot-2, 237 pounds, Arcega-Whiteside, a 2019 second-round pick out of Stanford, gives the Seahawks a big receiver who can also help on special teams — he played 54 percent of Philadelphia’s special teams which snapshots last season. At Stanford, Arcega-Whiteside had 63 catches for 1,059 yards and 14 touchdowns in 2018 before declaring for the 2019 draft, in which he was the 57th overall pick, seven spots ahead of new teammate DK Metcalf. In three seasons with the Eagles, Arcega-Whiteside appeared in 40 games, starting seven, recording 16 catches for 290 yards and a touchdown. Amadi, a fourth-round pick in the 2019 draft, has appeared in 57 games over three seasons with the Seahawks starting 12 over the past two years. After establishing himself as a special teams starter as a rookie, a role he maintained throughout his three years in Seattle, Amadi became the team’s starting nickel back in 2020 after Marquise Blair suffered a season-ending injury earlier in the year. Those two competed for that role again in 2021 and opened the season splitting time there, but Blair was again injured, with Amadi holding down the nickel role the rest of the season. Amadi recorded 125 tackles in three seasons, including 54 the previous two years, six tackles for loss, an interception, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery.
