“The police just don’t seem to care. It has slowly escalated and I worry what is going to happen next. “It started with just knocking on doors, shouting abuse and trampling my garden. They throw stones at my house. It’s a laugh for them. “In this case I saw them coming and I thought I would try to hold them for the police but it was a stupid idea because they were armed. “They had a metal chain or a dog lead that they used to hit me with, luckily I wasn’t badly hurt. “I had a cut on my ear, a few bruises and a bit of pain, but nothing I can’t deal with “I just thought they can’t keep getting away with this and I wanted to defend my home. “The police were today, but they say because they’re wearing masks, they have almost no chance of getting caught. “But someone has to recognize them. All the police do is come record it and leave. “They even told me, be careful what I do in the future because I might end up in trouble. All I do is protect my home. “The police say to ignore them, but he has to sort them out because he’s giving them the message that they can get away with his behaviour. “I’m afraid to go out now and I’m constantly checking the CCTV or looking out my window. Stress is not good for me. “This was a nice area, but the place is going downhill. There were up to 14 of them outside my house at one point. Sometimes they come on electric scooters “I don’t know why I have been singled out. I’m just worried that something worse is in the works. “The longest I’ve been without problems is a month, now it could be every day and I don’t know where to turn. It just keeps getting worse. “It can be twice a day, so I have written to the warden asking for help. I don’t think I’m an easily bullied person, but it’s gotten out of hand. “I haven’t had an answer, which is quite frustrating, but I just need the police to catch these guys.”
