According to a press release from the Hamilton Police Service, police are looking for 27-year-old Mustafa Asman Elwad. Police say as a result of a recent criminal investigation, Elawad is wanted for multiple offenses including:
Unauthorized possession of a firearm Knowledge of unauthorized possession of a firearm Careless use, transportation, transportation, storage of firearms, weapons, ammunition Occupant of a motor vehicle knowing a weapon was present Prohibited firearm – loaded/unloaded Possession for the purpose of schedule 1
Hamilton police say Elawad is also wanted by London police for similar offences.
Elawad is believed to be in the Toronto and Etobicoke area, but has ties to both London and Hamilton. Police are warning that if seen, the public is advised to stay away from Elawad and call 9-1-1.
