The body of a man in his 40s was discovered at an address on Bessborough Road in the Canford Cliffs area shortly before midnight on Saturday. A 42-year-old local woman and a 43-year-old man from Wimbledon, London, were arrested on suspicion of murder. Both were known to the victim. The man’s death is being treated as “unexplained” and inquiries are ongoing. A cordon is currently in place while the crime scene is being investigated. A Dorset Police spokesman said: “We were called at 11.48pm on Saturday 13 August 2022 by the ambulance service to reports of the sudden death of a man at an address on Beesborough Road in the Canford Cliffs area of Poole. “Officers attended and discovered the body of a 40-year-old man. His family has been informed and the coroner. “At this time the death is being treated as unexplained and inquiries are being made into the circumstances of the death. “The office has been cordoned off and crime scene and house-to-house inquiries are underway. “A 42-year-old local woman and a 43-year-old man from Wimbledon in London have been arrested on suspicion of murder. Both were known to the victim.” Police said there will be an increased police presence in the area while investigations continue and officers from the local neighborhood policing team can be approached by members of the community with any specific concerns or issues.
