Emergency crews were called to the area of ​​31st Street and 34th Avenue SE at about 10:15 pm for reports of a crash.
Upon arrival, they found a truck had gone through the front window of Sammy’s Chophouse and landed completely inside the business.
Courtney Daly was sitting inside when the truck crashed into the restaurant.
“I looked up and saw a black truck flying towards the window. I told my friends to ‘look out’ and then it was over us – it came through the window.”
She calls it “the scariest experience” she’s ever had in her life.
Daly adds that the pub was busy at the time of the accident.
“I’m surprised nobody died.”
“I just heard glass breaking and then I couldn’t breathe,” said Catherine Dawson, who says she was the first person hit.
“I was on my hands and knees crawling – I guess crawling out from under the vehicle and I couldn’t breathe.
“I didn’t know what happened to me – I looked at my friend and she was injured.  I looked at my other friend and her head was hanging in a booth and I didn’t know if she was okay or not.”
EMS told CTV News that four people were taken to the hospital in connection with the incident and several people were evaluated at the scene.
Victims include:


 An adult woman was taken to Foothills Medical Center in stable, non-life-threatening condition.     An adult woman was taken to Foothills Medical Center in serious but stable condition.     An elderly man in a stable, non-life-threatening condition was taken to the Peter Lougheed Centre.  and     An adult female in stable, non-life-threatening condition was transported to South Health Campus. 


Calgary police say the matter is under investigation, but the incident is not believed to be criminal in nature.
