Dowse has a long history of television credits including a recurring role on Beverly Hills, 90210 where she played Vice President Yvonne Teasley. She would later play another vice president, but this time on the sitcom California Dreams in another recurring role. Guest appearances on sitcoms have included Seinfield, Full House, Murphy Brown, Step by Step, Sister, Sister, Moesha, Girlfriends and most recently a recurring role on Insecure where she played Dr. Rhonda Pine. Her numerous other credits include appearances on such series as Touched by an Angel, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Chicago Hope, ER, The West Wing, Judging Amy, Nip/Tuck, Charmed, Gilmore Girls, Everwood, House and Castle. Dowse makes her feature directorial debut with the upcoming biopic Remember Me: The Mahalia Jackson Story, which follows Jackson’s career, her contributions to the civil rights movement and her friendship with Martin Luther King Jr. production.
