A black Alfa Romeo collided with five pedestrians, all members of the same family, outside the multi-storey car park in Ramsgate, Kent, at around 9.35pm on Wednesday. A man in his 80s and a woman in her 30s died soon after, and a young woman was seriously injured. Nitesh Bissendary, 30, of Manston, Kent, has been charged with two counts of causing death by dangerous driving, two counts of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and assault occasioning actual bodily harm. He was also charged with failing to stop at the scene of a collision, drink driving and failing to provide a sample for analysis and will appear at Margate Crown Court on Saturday. Officers investigating the incident also arrested a 58-year-old man and a 55-year-old woman on suspicion of assisting an offender and possession with intent to supply Class A drugs. Both have been bailed until September 8.
