The notice concerns Her, an adult entertainment club at 1325 E. Eglinton Ave. near Dixie Road. Police said in an alert that they have responded to more than a dozen incidents in and around the club since January 1, 2021. According to police, officers who responded to the incidents seized six firearms, investigated four shootings and dealt with numerous disorderly conduct calls. Police said they continue to work to reduce security risks associated with the club, but calls to police for service are draining resources. “The increased police resources available to respond to calls for service at this facility is impacting our ability to promptly respond to other priority calls,” police said in the alert. The foundation said in an email to CBC Toronto that it has fully cooperated and responded to all requests for assistance from police. “This partnership has ensured safety within the club without incidents of violence,” Her said in the email. “We will continue to work with the police and regulatory authorities to ensure a safe environment for patrons and the public both inside and outside the club.” Peel police say they have responded to more than two dozen incidents in and around the club since January 1, 2021. (Christopher Mulligan/CBC) On August 6 at approximately 1:30 a.m., three people were arrested near the club and charged with weapons-related offenses after a police traffic stop in the area. All three men face two counts of unauthorized possession of a firearm, two counts of possession of a loaded prohibited or restricted weapon and two counts of being a passenger in a motor vehicle knowing a weapon was present. They also face one count of possession of a prohibited device or ammunition, knowing their possession is unauthorized, and one count of having care or control of a motor vehicle with an open container of liquor. The Brampton man was also charged with obstructing a peace officer and failing to comply with a release order.
