Kelowna-Lake Country MP Tracy Gray doesn’t care what former premier Christy Clark thinks of the federal Conservative party. On Thursday, Clark endorsed Jean Charest in the party’s leadership race, saying the Conservative Party of Canada is fighting “for the ends to play to the ends of the political divide.” Gray, along with most of the party’s other MPs, have lined up behind clear front-runner Pierre Pouliev. “Those of us from B.C. Clarke is remembered for supporting Canada’s first carbon tax, crushing small business, having among the most expensive car insurance in Canada, and calling people who disagreed with her dinosaurs,” Gray tweeted Friday. “Forgive me if I don’t care about her views on conservative politics.” Gray, like Poulievre, was a supporter of the protest march that took over downtown Ottawa earlier this year. She serves on Poilievre’s BC campaign co-chair The BC Liberal Party, which Clark led from 2011 to 2017, has no affiliation with the federal Liberal party and occupies the right that opposes the NDP in provincial politics.
