“He killed two children, aged 8 and 11, using a hunting rifle, and injured their mother, who later succumbed to her injuries in a medical facility,” Brđanin said. “He then went out into the street and used the same rifle to shoot other residents of that settlement.” A witness told RTCG that the assailant “shot indiscriminately at people as he passed by on the street.” Authorities say they have identified the shooter — said to be a 34-year-old man — and that his rampage ended when he was shot by a civilian. The head of the Clinical Center of Montenegro, Liliana Radulovic, said three of the injured victims were in critical condition in hospital. Montenegrin President Milo Djukanovic tweeted on Friday that he was “deeply shocked” by the news. “I express my sincere condolences to the bereaved families, to all those who lost their loved ones. All of us as a society must stand in solidarity with them in these difficult times,” Đukanović said on Twitter.
