Ms. Bobb blasted Attorney General Merrick Garland for his press conference on the FBI raid on Mr. Trump’s Florida residence and subsequent reports that federal agents were searching for nuclear documents there, calling it a terrorist attack. The former president’s lawyer was asked by Fox News anchor Laura Ingraham if he knew that documents related to nuclear matters were not in Trump’s possession. “Do you understand that there were no documents about our nuclear capabilities or nuclear issues that have national security implications in the president’s possession when the agents showed up at Mar-a-Lago?” “I don’t believe there were,” replied Ms. Bob. “I haven’t talked to the president specifically about what nuclear materials may or may not have been in there. I don’t believe there were.” Classified documents related to nuclear weapons were among the items sought by the FBI during its search of Trump’s mansion on Monday, people familiar with the investigation told The Washington Post. It was not clear what kind of documents the FBI was after, or whether they referred to the US arsenal or another country. The report came hours after Mr Garland said he “personally approved the decision to seek a search warrant” and condemned the “baseless attacks” on the FBI. He disclosed that the Justice Department had asked a federal judge in Florida to unseal the search warrant, noting that Trump himself had made the investigation public. Calling Mr Garland’s press conference “pathetic”, Ms Bob said the FBI had been unable to provide “support” for their raid and thus revealed the angle of the nuclear documents which “potentially terrifies the American public”. . “That’s what Democrats do. They have no good reason to do what they did. Merrick Garland’s pathetic pressure for three minutes was insufficient, so they had to create fear,” he said. “If we’re on the brink of nuclear war, by abandoning the nuclear codes, maybe it’s acceptable that they violated the president’s constitutional rights. “It wasn’t acceptable, and they’re trying to find reasons to make it sound appropriate and sound OK, because they really don’t have a good reason to do what they did.” Trump confirmed late Thursday that he would not oppose a Justice Department move to release the search warrant for the FBI raid. Writing on the social media platform Truth Social late Thursday, he said: “Not only will I not object to the release of documents related to the un-American, unwarranted and unnecessary raid and burglary of my home in Palm Beach, Fla., Mar.-a-Lago, I go one step further by ENCOURAGING the immediate release of these documents.” He added: “Release the documents now!” Ms. Bobb was the first Trump lawyer to confront FBI agents at his residence. She is a former US Marine and a former anchor for the far-right news network One America News (OAN). During her time working for OAN, Ms. Bob began volunteering to assist Mr. Trump’s legal team and assisted in his effort to overturn the certification of the 2020 election in key battleground states. Not only did it support Mr. Trump’s false claims that the election was stolen, but it raised funds for the audit that ultimately did not find widespread fraud or lead to a change in the election result.
